Master Glynda Goodwitch was only a padawan learner at the time of the end of the Great War and the near eradication of the Jedi order. Now she has not only completed training but now sits in the Jedi council and is helping both begin training a new generation of knights, and assist Ozpin with the reform of what they believe was the downfall of the first Jedi Order. She is known to be one of the most strict of instructors, and has a reputation of being "Tightly wound up" but she does care deeply for the students she looks after and want to see the best in her students.

One of her more interesting aspects is her purple lightsaber, and more of all on that is not only her impressive abilities but what seems to be her ability to tap into the Dark Side of the force without it consuming her
