I've been watching a lot of Death Battle lately. I seriously love these things. Here we have the fight between Doomsday from Superman and Garlic Jr. from Dragon Ball Z.

Why they should fight – Both are powerful evil beings that have basically, or literally, immortal, and have only been truly defeated after having been banished from the universe.

Battle scenario – Garlic Jr. is recruiting minions to help him take over Kami's Lookout, and he hears about how Doomsday is rampaging through cities. Thinking he would make a good minion, he goes to recruit the monster, but Doomsday is only interesting in destroying everything in his path, and he doesn't care if they're immortal. Aware of the threat he's facing, Garlic Jr. transforms into his giant form and goes to face Doomsday.

Predicted winner – This is a tricky situation, but I'm giving the win to Doomsday. Garlic Jr. is powerful, no doubt, strong enough to destroy the planet if he wanted to, and he has several energy attacks and other abilities, but come on, he's up against Doomsday, the monster who “killed” Superman. Garlic Jr. is powerful, but not strong enough to face Goku, and Superman can take Goku at his strongest, and Doomsday took down the Kryptonian. The biggest issue here is that neither Doomsday nor Garlic Jr. can truly be destroyed. Doomsday can be killed, but he then comes back to life immune to whatever killed him before. The only way he was defeated was because he was banished beyond space and time into pure entropy. As for Garlic Jr., he is completely immortal, and therefore can't die. Any damage he sustains, even lethal damage, heals no matter what. But Garlic Jr. would eventually realize that he can't beat Doomsday, and thus would be forced to resort to opening the Dead Zone. But with Doomsday's immense strength, he would be able to resist the suction, and the battle would likely end in him knocking Garlic Jr. into it. Winner, Doomsday.
