Yeah, these two should get married and have children, But then again I remember that all the scene is non Diogenic and unfortunately these 2 seem to be completely self aware along the lines of dead pool.

THIS.
They're seriously the only Disney characters that know the definition of realism.

That was literally the ONLY message Frozen got right, everything else was a typical disney princess story, Tangled was at least creative with it's princess story

Disney does seem to be in a habit these days of lampshading and deconstructing their widely used tropes.

Not true. Kristoff also called out on this, too.
"Wait... you got engaged to someone you just met that day?"

True, but Elsa called it first.

Robert, yeah I know, but I stuck with the animated characters to have a better impact.

I think they were just meant for laughs. But then again, they used alternate forms of true love to break a spell both in this and Maleficent.

SilverBuller In reply to LightningDraco [2014-08-01 18:32:43 +0000 UTC]
Well, the Disney formula has a kiss from your true love braking whatever spell someone is under. They made it out that Β the act of true love would be the same thing that would save Anna, but inserted, it was Anna sacrificing herself for her sister.
In Maleficent, to break the spell did require Β true love's kiss, but it was when Maleficent kissed Aurora that broke the spell. It was a motherly love, but it was still true love, simply not the romantic kind.
So yes, maybe this is the start of a Disney Revolution where they're not always going to rely on the true romantic love thing all the time.

I hate the fact parents spaz about the "controversy" at the end of Frozen. -.-

LightningDraco In reply to SilverBuller [2014-08-02 02:19:47 +0000 UTC]
You didn't know?! It's the misconception that usually that "true love" is romance, but they missed the point on when Anna saves Elsa and Olaf mentions that "the act of true love will thaw a frozen heart". Some consider that this "act of true love" shows a sign of homosexuality or incest. -.-

Oh that, yeah I got that. There are different forms of true love besides the romance kind.
