Description The little black car sped along the country road trailing behind the trailers in front of them. Cora sat in the driver seat with Rylee beside her. Just the other day, Rylee's mother sprang on them the news that the racehorses were shipping out. Apparently, before Kentucky, Zara's friend and fellow trainer Adam Henderson, had made an offer with Amy Nelson to partner in with their racehorses. It didn't take the woman all too long to decide. She was pretty much in over her head, trying to manage them completely as well as show jumpers.

This way, all racers will stay at Zara's farm between races, with Zara heading their training and their careers, only need Amy's approval. Once retired, the horses will ship to Henderson Stud for breeding. The Hendersons will match horses, set stud fees and once again, Amy just approves. It's her decision on selling and keeping foals, while Henderson prepares them to head off on the next stage of their lives. When horses are done breeding, they will return to Silver Creek for the rest of their days.

Rylee was simply happy this partnership request came from someone they knew. She had met Adam a few times before and he had showed up in Kentucky to cheer their horses on. This prompted her to want to visit as often as possible, considering the stud farm is only 30 minutes away.

The trailers in front started to slow, getting ready to turn down the farms driveway. Rylee glanced past Cora as the wide spread fields and dark wooden fences. A wide expanse of trees were on the right side of the driveway. The followed behind the trailers, turning off the main drive. The trailers headed towards a barn but Cora kept going forward, past a large house to a smaller structure with a sign labeling it the office.

Both girls got out of the car once they were parked and gazed around. The farm was mostly grassy fields and some trees. A pond could be seen between the office and the house. Rylee glanced at a large pasture to their right. In the distance she could see a couple plump mares and a few foals.

"Welcome!" Someone called and Rylee turned to see Adam striding over to them. "Glad to have you here ladies." Rylee hadn't ever seen him so nicely dressed before. He was usually dressed to work with horses. Maybe, he ddin't actually do any of the physical labor here. He would, after all, one day operate this place himself.

"Glad to be here Adam." Cora responded. He gave her a one armed hug, the small woman barely coming mid chest next to him. Rylee waved casually, glancing back towards the barn they had passed on their way in.

"I see. Rylee is interested in checking out where the horses will be." Rylee turned to him. "I understand." He held up a hand. "We want you to be completely satisifed with your horses care." He started walking in the direction to the barn, Cora following behind him. "Let me show you around." Together they walked into the dim barn. "This is our broodmare barn."

The flooring was soft underfoot, the aisles were wide, and the stalls large and filled with thick bedding. The clatter of hooves behind them caused Rylee to turn again to see Barista being led into the barn. The groom stopped beside Rylee and she reached her hand out to the black mares soft muzzle. The mares stomach was round with a tiny foal growing inside her. Rylee stepped back and the groom led the mare off to a stall.

"All your horses will be stabled near one another, and go out accordingly." Adam explained though Rylee only half listened. She noticed a chestnut mare in a stall across the aisle and walked over to her. Next to her door was a board printed with the mares name, the sire bred to, the foals date of birth and the foals color and gender. She peered into the stall at the little bay colt that was standing by his mama's side. He was solid and dark in color. Rylee smiled fondly. "Let me show you the rest of the farm, please." Adam gestured to the barn door and headed out, he and Cora deep in conversation. They walked past Magali going in as they headed into the parking lot.

Adam led them to his car to continue his tour of the rest of the farm. They headed back up the driveway for a bit before turning off again and approaching another barn. Their other trailer was parked in front of this barn. "This here is our stud barn." He explained as he parked and the trio got out. At that moment, Innovation clattered down the ramp, head high, ears pricked and nostrils flared as he surveyed his surroundings. Rylee always admired the stallions gleaming dark coat. Adam let out a low whistle and Cora laughed. Standing right inside the barn was none other than Zara herself.

"Well, happy to see you on our little tour." Adam greeted and Zara scowled at him, but then she smiled. "So, what do you think?"

The blonde woman shook her head. "You know if I didn't like the idea of the horses being here, they wouldn't be. There isn't anywhere else I would want them to be." At that, Adam smiled.

"They are all in great hands here, promise." Rylee glanced at the two, and then at Cora, admiring the barn. Zara was right. She had known Adam forever and completely trusted him. Their horses would be just fine here. "I have one more thing I want to show you guys, come on." He said, with his arm around Zara's shoulders and guiding her to the door. She shot a glance to Cora, who raised an eyebrow and Rylee shrugged. "Can you head to the yearling barn with the trailer, please? Thank you." Adam requested of the driver as the last stud was removed. He led them back to his car, Zara going to the front and Cora and Rylee hopping together in the back.

They rode in silence to the yearling barn across the way. Adam quickly dialed his phone. "Yeah... be there in a sec. Bring her on out." He hung up again as they pulled up to the barn and once again all got out. A whinny caught Rylee's attention and she turned to the barn to see a handsome young groom, probably around her age, leading a gorgeous sooty bay filly towards them. There was a wide blaze on the filly's face and she had three white legs. Dapples reflected off her coat in the sunlight. Rylee guessed she was about two.

"This, right here, is my little gift to you." Adam said, walking over to the filly. "This gal has great breeding. Both parents are graded stakes winners on the dirt and her mama bested the boys a few times in her day." He looked back at the girls. "After I saw how great Zara's yearlings were coming along, after this little one was born, I decided to hold on to her. After the they started running as two year olds, I decided I knew exactly where she was going. Then of course, after Kentucky, it was only solidified that she goes to Silver Creek and Zara to train."

All three girls stood with expressions of surprise on their face. Zara's eyebrows were raised, Cora's mouth hung open and Rylee stared at the filly in awe. Slowly, she approached the bay, one hand out to her. The filly lowered her head to the hand, taking in a deep breath. She gazed at Rylee with a kind eye. Rylee smiled.
