Description I am really proud of this drawing - please full view!

It's really detailed and emotive - and all drawn in black ball point pen!!!

(Edit 2010: Oh my god I sound so dorky up there. Sorry I just checked on this pic for old times sake and my artist comments from back then... ahahha so much fail).

By the way, I DON'T LIKE FEATHERS ANYMORE. Nah, they're alright. Just a pain to colour in with pen, that's all. A callous has developed near the base of my thumb coz of those feathers...

I'll get to the point. This is Calic Cepesu, a vampire from book one of the Korean manhwa, The Tarot Cafe. This is my first proper fanart, I guess...

He (yes, it's MALE, ) was in love with a woman named Isabel, but towards the middle of the story she died from falling from the top of a tower. (Tragic and stuff, I know). Whilst trying to save her, Calic had to expose himself to the sunlight, causing him to go blind. I drew him in this picture mourning silently over Isabel's memory. The black feathers give it a more sad feeling overall, don't you think?

If anyone says his clothing makes him look more like a girl, I agree. That's partly my fault because I "accidently" drew them like that.

No, really.

She threw herself from the tower because he had drunken the blood of her one and only sister. It is because of Calic that I knew that dead people's blood was like poison to vampires when watching Interview with the Vampire.

It's looks amazing.But the outfit's not really that girly,though.
And I felt quite emotional when I saw the look on his face.Such a tragic story...

I admit it does feel great to get positive feedback and faves, but I'm contented enough even if people just take a look. Hmmmm, maybe I should value comments and faves more I suppose. It does help an artist improve, after all.

I just happen to enjoy drawing in detail Sometimes I'm not bothered to, but usually I love doing it. Thanks for acknowledging! The collar and hair is teh smex. That flower in the corner, I don't even know what the hell it is. I was gonna draw a rose but ended up with THAT instead...? O_o

XD oh ok still a super drawing though. I draw sometimes but tend to rush things so it looks kinda scruffy and messy. maybe one day i'll actually get serious about my traditional arts and do something i can be proud off... we'll see ^^'
