Iohannis asked me to draw an innocent celtic woman being burned at the stake during the witch hunts (more detailed than that, but I'll summarize), and this was my interpretation of that vision. I made some weird choices while making this, but I like them : )

This is a beautiful drawing! I'm writing a paper on witch hunt. Is it alright if I use this drawing in it? Off course with full credits to you.

This is a powerful image, especially if not taken literally, but rather at a metaphorical level.

As a metaphor, the woman is introspective. From the waist up, she is pure. She is backlit by a halo. Even the flames part away from her body from the waist up.

Below the waist is another story. The flames almost grasp at her like tentacles.

Clearly she is torn between being virtuous and struggling with her carnal instincts.

Thanks! I love that you're looking past the obvious of what's going on, and into the symbolism that is involved.

Very nice, i always love to see these kind of images ... i like the way her hair is blowing in the wind, the robe reveals her shoulder and the cute freckels in her face ...

What is a bit weird is her almost "out of body" expression ... in that kind of situation i would cry at least, with flames that high and near scream out in pain ... but i suppose that was not the intention of the image ...

Sadly i came too late for the free drawings offer ... I have these image in mind (also a witch burning), can describe it, but saldy lack the skill to put it on paper or computer (currently try photomanipulations, but i love "real" artwork) ...

Wow, I'm really flattered and impressed that you decided to execute the concept. I can't believe how weird it feels to looks at interpretation of it right in front of me. I think that it's also a justifiable gesture to recall those who had to suffer and die through the religious arbitration. The piece is necessarily touching, and now my own trad version haunts my days!

I will feature the piece as soon as I've allowed some time for the journal entry I published just hours before you unveiled your work.

P.S. I still can't believe that people haven't taken your offer. Perhaps your talent is intimidating?

It was great working with your idea, I really enjoyed it. The concept was great to work with!

Someone else has taken my offer- maybe they just needed someone bold like you to pave the way first
