Description So, this was an art project we had for two, nearly three weeks!
First, we got with a partner and took turns putting strips of plaster on our faces to make molds. Once we were done, we filled the mold with earthenware clay.
We picked the plaster bits out of the casts, and smoothed them out (if we'd wanted to, which I did).
We then put the faces into plastic bags and sprayed them every day to keep the clay from drying.
While the faces were in the bags, we constructed a base for either a flower pot or a pitcher, in which I chose to make a pitcher. I attatched my face onto the base as soon as it was done, and then added clay around it to create the body of the form.
Afterwards, I added a bit of extra clay on the edge to for the lip, and rolled out a strip of clay and cut it to form the handle.

Tell me what you think of this!
If you like the idea, feel free to use it, as it was an art progect, and not my idea, however I'd love it if you'd leave a link to where you first saw this!

Self-critique: I really wish I could've smoothes out those seams a bit more. Attatching eachslab of clay was difficult enough, but it was so hard to smooth out the areas where they were put together.
Also, there's one TINY dot where there just wasn't enough paint on the nose, so it looks lighter than the other spots.

If anyone is wondering, yes, that is my face that is on that pot, only in clay and some exotic colors XD
