Description
When I first saw *Black-Heart-Always ' boy Bygone, I knew I had to draw him. I fell in love with his design and those bright blue markings. I also thought it would be fun to experiment with my pastel pencils some more. I definitely got more accustomed to them as I progressed through the drawing. I really love the medium and am pretty pleased with the result, though I still have a lot to get used to...especially figuring out how all of the colors work and blend together. At 5" x 7", this was also a smaller-scale piece than I'm used to working, but I felt comfortable with it. It helped me focus a little more on what I was doing without worrying so much about how I was going to fill the background.
