"Can't Go Back Now" - The Weepies

I guess I've been on a bit of a graphite kick lately. I'm enjoying working black and white. I was initially going to color this one, but I decided this could look really cool in black and white. Overall, I'm very pleased with it. I edited it a bit in Photoshop to get rid of the streaks in the sky (this is the last time I do a big night sky in graphite). I erased out the clouds with my Sakura Electric Eraser. It's a really handy tool to have.

There was no real inspiration for this picture, but I listened to The Weepies a lot while working on it. The lyrics I chose for the title are some of my favorites. And, given the leaping unicorn, I decided that the song itself was so appropriate. It's a leap of faith. It's leaving the past behind. It's stepping out on your own. It's making your own path.
