Description
This was a lotus flower that I painted for my mom's birthday in 8th Grade(: I think it turned out pretty well for the time. This beautiful flower is found in swampy areas. It's roots are embedded in the mud and the stem grows through the water with the flower sitting on the top. For me, this shows that even in the darkest places, hope still shines. Hence the title. In this picture, the lotus is sitting on top of the water at night with the moon and clouds reflecting on the surface. It's not in space. xD
