Colonial and well adapted to vacuum of their first planet’s surface (KL1300-fB, also known as “Amigo”), they evolved in glacial caves under ice surface. Several castes are specialized on different works – there are ice-grazers, flying scouts, enforcers, algae farmers, sexuals (queens and small males) and larvae carriers. Scouts are most intelligent caste, mid-sized and covered with excessive receptor organs.
Their queens are able to flight between orbits of celestial bodies, using biological jet thrusters and go to hibernation state for long periods. Several cavities in their thorax are filled with several strains of photosynthetic algae, used by colonies to farm on previously sterile glacial caves. These creatures have no observable intellectual abilities; they are mostly behaving based on complex instincts. By the time of discovery, these creatures have colonized 6 glacial moons of ice-giant, living in big ice asteroids and one ocean world in polar zones, but much more celestial bodies in system was just infected by algae without successful colonization.
