Description After a full day of coloring and figuring out the pen tool, it's finally done! sent me this to practice the Photoshop glow effect, which is needed for our upcoming comic even though it was only meant for the glow effect, I couldn't help to color it


It has some flaws, but it's done.. Let me tell you how things went with with all three characters, now shall we?


First off, we have Silver the Hedgehog In general, he the easiest character to color. Once I added the background, though, I noticed I left a lot of spaces uncolored.. It's hard to see because of his white fur, so I need to watch that more in the future


Next, Rasca the Liger As much as I love how the shading went on her coat, I dun liek the colors of her fur.. I dunno why, I think they're too light XD I feel like I failed her real bad I'm so sorry, Manda!


And last but not least, we've got Destiny the Cat I got nothing to complain about her actually, even though the shading on the hair could've been better. Keep in mind I've colored her some times before, though XD And I like the design of her staff


Soo.. this is my first time using glow effects What do you think?


And be sure to stay tuned for the comic.. All these characters will appear in the story

Woah, dude! This came out incredible! I must say, I am very impressed!! I think you did a great job with the glow effect!! The only problem I have is some of the lineart and coloring. Don't get me wrong, you got the colors right, it's just that you missed some spots. Like Silver's right hand, you forgot the symbol. And on Rasca, you forgot the three black stripes on her forehead. Plus, her index finger doesn't quite look right, and I don't know if it's just me, but I think her pupil is a bit too small. But other than that, everything looks perfect!! I can't say anything for Destiny, because she's your character, but even if I could, I wouldn't! I love the way she came out!! And her staff looks beautiful! Once again, I must say that the shading came out great, and for a first try, the glow looks excellent!! Great job!!

I know I failed Rasca real bad.. I'm so, so very sorry.. Should've paid more attention to her design About Silver, I wasn't sure if the simbol on his left hand was visable or not actually.. I thought his tumb blocked the sight.. Thanks for the compliments though, especially on the staff

No, no, you didn't fail her, you did great! It was only a few points here and there. And for Silver, I can see how you had confused that, no problem. Also, you're most certainly welcome, about the compliments! I really do love the staff! I've always had trouble coming up with designs. Not just for magic staffs, but for weapons, furniture, clothing... I always looked at things on doll makers and google for help like that, and then just change it up a bit. Hahahahaha!! I suck. XDDD I'd never make it out there as a designer.

I'll keep those points in mind, thanks for telling meh As for designing, I'm not really good at that either Usually I don't know what to do, and then I start to sketch randomly, and come up with something like this in the end I especially suck at clothes! Thanks again though

Thanks a lot! I'm pretty statisfied with the result myself! And about the shading.. I used the sonic archie comics as example. I add a base color, then shade with a darker, and a lighter color.. and then I get something like this, I guess

Very very good!! Oh, btw, I was thinking, we can't both post the same comic on our accounts. It'll set in confusion and some may think that one of us is an art theif. And we can always explain things, but that'll get dull after a while. And I think it's against the rules, anyway. So how about we just set up a different account for the comic?
