Are you serious,Sirs? Who really cares if such a stunning piece of art displays one hand 1/8 of an inch larger or smaller than the other? I could mention thousands of masterpieces in the history of art showing similar βviolationsβ of classical proportions,... or worse. And I donβt mean Picasso or Bacon, but Michelangelo, Parmigianino, Rubens or so. My deepest appreciation and A+ forever!!!

I completely understand your point of view. I would never claim the right to express the βrightβ judgment about this, nor I would ever dispute the right to express oneβs opinion. This is not me! Thatβs why mjcoleβs and demonmanβs reaction left me astounded. Didnt mean to start a quarrel. All i meant was:slight deviations from the conventional rules in painting as in music and in literature can be seen not always as mere mistakes. They can suggest a focal expressive point the artist wants to stress.
As i see it,the difference of proportion between the hands could be functional to state a point of view from below up. Did anyone noticed weβre talking about a constellation which is usually seen from this angle for us,common mortals on earth? Anyway,... peace to all
