Annnd lastly a snivy
my least favorite of the new starters. as wonderfully designed as i feel snivy is as well as all his evos, i just think the power level of this pokemon is not nearly as good as the other two, and there are alot better grass pokemon id rather have 
but thats how i feel. Hes still very cute tho !

Oshawott is super cute too. I hated him at first, when they first revealed him. I thought he looked like a tiny clown. But then he grew on me and i started liking him a lot

Actually no its not, it can be both male and female and it in fact has a higher chance to be male then female with an 87.5% chance to be male and a 12.5% chance to be female. My Snivy was a male.

Snivy is my starter pokemon is White. He is level 21 and I wont let him evolve. He must stay a snivy forever!
I did the same thing with my Turtwig in Diamond. He is level 37 and still a turtwig.
