What I do like about Heinz and Vanessa's relationship is that he tried to do his best to give her the childhood and teen years he didn't had in his home.

After having a set of abusive parents who forced him to wear dresses for a whole year after his brother was born; dressed up as a lawn gnome and obligued to protect the family house from spells, witches and black magic; neglected as a son and being rasied by ocelots, he tries the best he can to raise Vanessa, assiting to her dance recitals, supporting her in school competitions and trying to give her the best birthday parties he can get (Though they're childish and pretty girly). Not to mention to try to convince her to take on the family bussiness, and despise her sarcastic and indifferent personality, Vanessa recognizes she has a good dad after all and she loves him too, being capable to fool Mayor Monogram and Perry the Platypus to save him from going to jail after kidnapping Monogram. Moments after this Heinz is so proud of her for being a little evil; something she recognizes and makes him cry a little.

About the pice...

Heinz and Vanessa's clothes were a bit of a challenge, despise having good references from Summer Belongs to You. The first one being an ugly and cartoony character, switching him on styles proved to be some challenge (it was much easier with Monogram, Jeremy, Phineas and Ferb) as for the black goth suit Vanessa wears, so I chose instead to use clear lines for her and I must say it looks pretty good, so all the dark clothing will have the same tratmen from now on.
