I'll copy/paste my answer   I de-glittered her with warm water, my fingernails and a scraper. I removed the last bits with acetone  It takes a lot of time though

Wow, that's an amazing de-glitter! I've de-glittered my fair share of ponies and usually do it brutally with acetone - guessing you used a nail varnish remover mix and did this very slowly?
