wow!! incredible colors. I love it. I also like that the head is not like "traditional" dragon heads. More...equine in appearance. Very nice! *goes to check out yer gallery*

It took me a long time to be able to work like this, and I'm still learning. Takes mucho practice.

Beautiful, Silver! I love the way the waves splash up and against the rock -- dramatic and realistic.

Yay! First comment! (does a dance) I love the pose and how you did the waves! Your artwork is always beautiful.
Did you use oil paints for the painting?

Yes, I used Windsor & Newton water mixable oils. I like those because they don't reek with fumes and it's good because I have two little kids who love to get into things.

I myself use acrylics on my paintings, but I don't think I'm ready to be doing any prints for quite a long time. My paintings are about 24"x18", so they don't fit on my scanner bed, otherwise I would have tried to post a couple.
You have two kids now? I only knew about the first when I saw that pencil drawing you did from a few years ago.

Yep, two now, both boys. My youngest one will be one year old two days after Christmas. This was actually a smallish painting for me, I like to work on 16x20" illustration board, but I will probably do more small paintings like this. I tried acrylics for a while, but I didn't like the way they blended and moved, although some people can do amazing things with them.

Yeah, acrylics can be difficult, but they're better than watercolor paints I think.
