(Cause I) Don't want to live my life a-lone5 DAYS
OF NOTHING BUT CHARCOAL
I wanted a Steam Powered Giraffe band poster badly, but I couldn't buy one. Ergo, I made my own. I drew The Spine in his generic fedora-over-the-eyes-cool-guy pose, and then decided to do the other guys with their hats over their eyes as well.
I did use reference photos!!!! They came from these two galleries:

I'll try to find the original photos so that I can post those as well, but I think the galleries work better because then you can see all of their other lovely photos! Seriously, these photos are fantastic, especially the ones of The Jon being caught mid-quirky moment ^^
Now all I need is something to hang this with, and it will sit proudly above my bed

This is stunning! I love the composition of this picture, and how serious they all look. A reminder that the lore behind these loveable characters isn't all sunshine and happiness, these guys went to war, multiple times, and have lived to see so many people die. That's kinda what I think about when I see this. But then again, maybe I'm putting too much thought into it. Either way, awesome work! I'm impressed at the time and effort this must have taken you!

Anywho, this is beautiful. It's sad, really, with all of their eyes hidden. Their act has so much joy in it, but Honeybee always seems to hit this uncommonly emotional chord. Beautifully done.

Well, it's an extremely sad song, and it strikes without warning; I'd been listening to it for a sold three months, and then one night, it made me burst into tears. It had never made me cry before, but suddenly the full meaning of the song hit me.
This lovely piece you charcoaled fits the tone of the song perfectly. Like, if I stare at it too long, suddenly it'll break my heart. Again, very beautifully done.
