Black Liquorice was cast out of his hive not long after he reached adulthood, and so he lives with his father. It wasn't because he was a Longzhu, his mother was a Longzhu as well, it was because he openly opposed the King, his grandfather, by saying that they need to step away from feeding on candy and change to feeding on an emotion to gain more power. He gained this idea at a young age, he often hung around his aunt, Sour Candy who gave him the notion. Instead of keeping it to himself, he started trying to gain followers who may have the same mind set, word soon reached the King and he was exiled. Sour Candy often meets with him in secret, helping to teach him how to feed on pony emotion.
His pony disguise form is a black pegasus with a yellow mane and orange eyes. His disguised Cutie Mark is a coil of Black Liquorice, which matches his personallity. He is very bitter about what happened to him, and while he has his aunt fooled about his motives, he really wishes to destroy the entire hive that exiled him, including her. He feeds on happiness as often as he can, so he can get very strong. His father doesn't know his motives, but he has a hunch that he has some of his dark Tartarustic intents.
