The Dragon Dog
once upon a time there was a little wild Dog named fang.
he lived in a big forest with lots of other wild animals, many of witch he got along with quite well.
But out of all of the wild life he knew, there was one he idolized more then any other, the mighty Dragons.

although he had never directly interacted with one, he still admired them.
anytime he seen one fly overhead, or drank form the river, he would have to stop and watch in awe of the majesty of them.

One day Fang got a thought, "Why can't I be like them? I want to be a dragon to!"
So fang thought and thought about it, but no matter what he did, he just could not thank of a way to become a Dragon.

So Fang went to see his best friend the Monkey. he asked him "Monkey do you know how I can become a dragon? its my dream to be just like them!"
Monkey laughed so hard he just about fell out the tree he was sitting in.
"well keep dreaming my friend, Dragons are brave, and I've seen you run from Squirrels before," Monkey says falling to his back in laughter.
Dog walks off, a bit mad at his friend, and sad that he may be right.

Feeling down Fang went to see the wolf's. although most thot them to be mean, they where nice to fang. even letting him have some of there hunt form time to time.
Fang then asks the Alpha Wolf, "do you know how I can become a Dragon? its my biggest dream."
The Alpha looked down and him and with a sad look says, "Im sorry but no. a dog is a dog, and no matter what, that is what you will be. After all Dragon are strong, and your weaker then even us wolfs."

Fang walks out, now vary upset, hopping he is not wasting his time.
He decides to go see the oldest and wisest animal in the forest, Mr. tortoise.
He asks him "Mr. Tortoise, can you please, please! Tell me how I may become a Dragon. It's what I want most in all the world!"
But even the old Tortoise shakes his head no. oh my dear boy, no.... that can never be... Dragon are smart, even smarter then me. there is no way at all for you to ever be one of them. It's best you put silly notions like that aside.

Fang walks off, sad and feeling more alone and dejected then ever.
On his way back to his den, he hears some human hunters.
Most would rub, but Fang knows that sometimes you can still a kill form a sloppy human and go's to investigate.

Fang runs to where the human's are, but is stopped dead in his tracks as he see's what it is there hunting.
He sees they have cornered a young Dragon, only about the size of a wolf.
one of the dragons wing and two legs where injured, so there was no way at all for it to get away from the hunters.

with out thanking Fang jumps in between the humans and the Dragon, baring his teeth at the hunters as if to say to them "back off."

One of them men just wanting to get the hunt over with, throws a spear at the dog.
Fang knows if he moves, it will hit the young dragon, so he takes the hit, letting it go into his side.
Fang calls out in pan, but will not move. Fang sees one of the other men about to try the same trick as his friend.
Tanking fast Fang pulls the spear out of his side with his mouth, and throws it at the man. the two spears collide in the air and fall to the ground.

Fang doesn't know what to do. He feels like he will pass out soon thanks to the blood coming out his side. He decides to make a bluff them.
with all the air he can gather he lets out what he thanks will be a loud bark. he hopes maybe the wolfs will hear and come help.
But then he lets our his bark, he hears nothing but a loud roar.
At first he thanks "Did I do that?"
soon all the mean run off as fast as they can, some even dropping there weapons.
fang looks back to see not just the little Dragon, but a VARY big dragon as well, one the size of an elephant.
Fang smiles, and passes out.

Fang wakes up in a big cave, laying on what looks like a bed made from hay bales.
he looks around him, and feels his heart race as he sees 10 dragon laying around him, the little dragon hugged up to him.
"Oh good your up, we where worried about you for a bit there" The biggest dragons says.
"where am I? what happened?" Fang asks, thanking this most be some dream.
"You saved my son, and so I took you back to my home, and we healed your would."
Fang looks to his side and sees that yes...there is not blood coming out now.
"oh thank you" Fang says getting all red.
"No thank you, if it where not for you my son would be dead. I owe you much."
" no, no you don't owe me anything. But I'm happy he is safe.
Fang thanks to him self "well I may never get to be a dragon, but I'm happy I at least get to talk to one."
Fang smiles... and than starts to cry.
"Oh my what ever is the matter? Is something still hearting?" The big dragon mom asks.
Fang nods yes and points to his heart.
"I'm just a bit sad...You see, all I want in life is to be like you...To be a Dragon... but that will never happen.... im not strong, smart...or even brave... im nothing...."
The mom dragon seems upset at that and picks Fang up in one move.
"now you listen here. Don't ever! talk about your self like that. from what I seen and form what my little one told me you did, id say your more dragon, then most dragons I know... hmmmm tell me, how would you feel about becoming a part of ore Family? you can be one of us!"
Fang looks up to her, about to cry ones more, but this time form happiness.
now fully crying, He nods yes and hugs her, and soon all the other dragon join in.
For the rest of his days fang lived with the dragons. he Hunted and plays and makes merry with them.

And that is how fang became the Dragon Dog.
