Description
As part of a up cycled project I had a old 78 HMV vinyl carry case for 12 records. It was starting to fall apart and I wondered what I could actually do with it. I have made a few book sculptures in the past and played with the idea of doing something similar with this. I had lots of old book plates from old fairy tale books lying around and decided to turn this into a diorama. Each sheet of each sleeve had a image put in place to tell a whole story and then the excess paper that was left was cut away. I did not want it to become a dust trap so used a damaged piece of perspex over the front to turn it into a box, there is a cracked piece at the bottom which allows the culprit of the story to escape.
