I would like to thank Snow Wolf for inspiring me to complete this.

I did this sketch a while back with the intent that it would turn out to be a real media painting, but I never got around to it. I came across the sketch last night, and after a few hours of work last night and a few more this morning, I went ahead and colored it.

Title comes from a book...

I am very pleased with how this came out .

Thanks ! This was a lot of fun to do...the fur texture was a bit of an experiment, so, I'm glad it looks all right!

That is one beautiful nebula!!

I so would love to live in a place like this. The composition is beautiful, having the wolf run on one side alongside the sky, and the subtle reflections in the water. Nice splashes too. I love your space and starry scenes, and this is one of your best by far...

Oh my goodness - how did you do the sky?! It looks so amazing... and I love how the water splashes, and the little droplets. Plus his fur just looks so pettable!

I found a reference picture of the Pelican Nebula in the constelation of Cygnus the Swan and modeled the sky after it...umm, lots of airbrush and just tweaking it until it looked all right. This was my first try with water splashes, so I'm glad it looks all right . Hehe, thanks ! Fur texture is fun...I think I want to experiment more with it...

-laughs- Yeah, I bet you could do a lot with fur texture... this wolf looks like he has kind of long, silky hair. I wonder how you could do something like peach fuzz?
