Not always! I have a hard time with the lighting unless I have something that can easily modify the image to get a lighter shade-thankfully with Prismas, I can do just that. <8D Thank goodness for white colored pencils!~

Thankssss~

I couldn't help it, as I explained to her. ;;
Traditional lineless work is difficult. Not impossible, but difficult. Needless to say I'm out of practice.

And thanks.

Groudon could be a little wider, but overall nice job! I love the sunshine!

SilverStarSheep In reply to CyborgWizard [2012-05-23 02:00:56 +0000 UTC]

I realize this. I actually hate it when people make Groudon slender, so naturally I was frustrated with how skinny he is here but I simply couldn't fix it. Traditional lineless work is very difficult.
Thanks.

CyborgWizard In reply to SilverStarSheep [2012-05-23 02:06:10 +0000 UTC]

Maybe you could make a re-make in the future?
No problem.

SilverStarSheep In reply to CyborgWizard [2012-05-23 02:11:40 +0000 UTC]

Are you kidding? Golly, this was a pain in the rear to make... When I do traditional lineless, they're few and far between.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CyborgWizard In reply to SilverStarSheep [2012-05-23 02:39:37 +0000 UTC]

It was just an idea, and I will ask, do you draw rough lines?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SilverStarSheep In reply to CyborgWizard [2012-05-23 02:42:53 +0000 UTC]

I did very basic lines at best. But the thing is, doing that forces me to erase things.
I know what I'm doing when it comes to lineless, it's just that in traditional media it's very difficult. Digitally it's super-easy because erasing things doesn't leave the "ghosting" effect behind. Although some lines CAN be covered up with the right color. there are some lines that are poorly covered up.
This picture didn't come out the way I had hoped. Simple as that.
But it also isn't awful so that's okay I guess.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CyborgWizard In reply to SilverStarSheep [2012-05-23 02:50:12 +0000 UTC]

What I do is that I draw the lines very lightly, or what you could do is draw the lines in a color that you plan on coloring that part of the picture with, again very lightly.
I didn't mean to sound rude, I'm just trying to give some help, that's all.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SilverStarSheep In reply to CyborgWizard [2012-05-23 02:54:04 +0000 UTC]

I do that, actually, but I guess the pencils/paper I was using just didn't cooperate well enough for me to do that without having a bit of a mess.
Sorry for my reaction. I'm just going to scuttle away now

Mr. Sunshine is a horribly ironic name for a giant apocalypse monster lizard.

Nice shading, once again. The spikes look epic.

How do I light source? *legit question for moi*

Cuz this is AMAZING.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SilverStarSheep In reply to DynamiteManEXE [2012-05-23 01:19:46 +0000 UTC]

Honestly, I don't know myself. I just pick a place I want the light to come from and I go from there.
It helps to draw a veerrrryyy light arrow pointing in the direction it's going at the picture.

Also, I was using prismacolors, and with the white pencil I could force my way into a good light source without having to lay out my lights before hand.

Thank you!
