Edit:Fixed the lighting a bit
Not as fancy looking but this actually is a scene from my third book. It's a huge spoiler to explain so I'll keep that quiet at least. xD But so you have a little knowledge he is actually fading I guess you could say. The rune symbols are spells of protection.
Bah.
I guess I should say more.
Jing is casting protection spells but in the process he is fading due to the fact that the magic takes things away when used.
As for the title...Haven had read him an excerpt from Peter Pan and he had grown obsessed with the idea of Neverland.

I love the shading you did for the face. It gives this picture a wonderful sense of depth. And the eye is colored beautifully! I don't know the whole story behind this character, but the eye seems to show he's sad, or in some kind of emotional pain.
And a wonderful choice of colors. It has cool colors in the purple that shows behind the spell circles and the blue of the coat. They go well with the warm peachy tone on the collar, the golden eye, and the red markings on his face. The neutral black hair also adds a nice balance to it, all the colors work together.
This is an all around amazing piece of art.

I take effort to notice things like that because it's what gives a character life. Emotions are important to express and help make someone fictional feel real.

Nice hair! The whole picture is detailed but my eye is drawn immediately to his. He seems focused and sort of empty of emotion. He looks very committed to whatever he's doing. This is really cool!
