Edit 2: Fixed up that damn thigh. Living on panadol and throat lozenges. I hate being sick ><

Sometimes reference poses are tricky, so I lay a bit of baking paper over the top to sketch out the skeleton on top of the reference pic to see how it works. Most of the time this technique fails and I'll just try and draw the ref from scratch, but this time the skeleton caught and before I knew it I had drawn a nearly complete image on the baking paper. The baking paper is oily and won't take ink so I had to scan this.

The I tried something new, I lined it on a new layer, in PS CS2, over the sketch. I think it turned out well for my first complete CG drawing. I mucked about with a transparent bg too.

EDIT: also her back thigh is way too big, but it's nearly 4 am and I'm too tired to fix it now, but it will be fixed, by George! Later this morning maybe, even.

The reference is from my current desktop picture from Gaia's zOMG downloads page. Mine's significantly different to the original image since the original was bird like than dinosaur.
