Description inspired by the writing over at caffenol.org , i decided to try my hand a developing some negatives using their coffee infused developer recipe! i wandered about the grounds of the old Bethlehem Steel plant and set up with my Shen Hao 4×5 and some sheets of Fomapan 400. i simply metered for 400 speed and made 3 exposures bracketing the two other shots up and down one stop. the caffenol development charts didn’t have any recommendations for Fomapan 400, so i just went with the 9 minutes recommended for Ilford Delta 400. the results weren’t bad, even though the negatives were just a bit thin. i think i could extend development time to 11 mins, possibly. the best negative also seemed to be the one over exposed by one stop. there was just more detail in the shadows in my opinion.

scan of 4×5 negative with small adjustments for contrast.

I have no idea about the technical side of this. I do know that you've gotten an amazing level of detail going, that the angle is perfect (it is quite imposing), and this definitely is some kind of comment on our rather industrialized society's type of wakefulness.

Great job!
