Things went to shit real fast as Skagerrak lost footing and slid onto his side, leaving Eli in the snow flurries that followed behind.
The snow was relatively soft to land on and the back protection absorbed most of the impact on the landing. Eli sat up a bit defeated with the inflated helmet around his head like a hood. It hung over his eyes a little bit so he had to tilt his head back in order to see. A little further down the slope he could see Skagerrak get up on his legs again, seemingly staring at the remaining part of the course.
With a sigh Eli heaved himself out of the snow, removed the inflatable helmet and began making his way down to his horse. Skagerrak flicked his ears back and when Eli was close enough he shook the remaining snow off onto him. Clearly a statement reading -You fucking idiot-
Now covered in snow Eli glared back at the stallion.
"Ok. I get it." he grumbled and dusted himself off of the snow before taking the neckrope and lead Skagerrak off the track. He could already feel his armpits getting ripped out. Fuck.
