Description
In the medieval collective imagination we have seen macabre dances with skeletons and the dead dancing with each other, and if it happened with the living. Here are represented those who animate those gloomy magical scenes, giving life to non-life! Who said death has to be a sad time? And here come the musicians who orchestrate symphonies with ballads to visitors and our dearly departed.
Think positive, laugh and rejoice before finding yourself under a pine tree! And if you die? You continue to have fun regardless of the events of mortals! We are sure that experiencing the darkest moments of our lives can be a great answer to dancing to the sparkling rhythms of the bands of creatures from the Dead world.
This unique piece that may seem like a sketch, represents one of the musicians playing at the medieval dances of macabre which is part of the Danse Macabre series in watercolor that I did in 2015, there are other pieces that I will show you, the few that I worked leaving the series incomplete.
