Description Started this a couple of months back trying to do a sf'ish Blade Runner type of enviroment combined with some Art Nouveau elements and decided to finish it now giving it a different twist thinking about Trantor Empire capital city from Asimov's Foundation Series.

Beautifully done! This makes me think of the Dahlite heatsinkers in Prelude.

looking back at this pice of work now i can say it has some issues when it comes to combining "old school"and futuristic architecture but i decided to post it nontheless
the model was render in vray for sketchup but without textures and anything.. its all just brushwork. you can find the render under my blog: [link]

I agree with Biscutdude. This is really nice work. Thoughtfully done. Such highly stylized architectural designs are hard to come by. It sucks that we don't get dynamic settings like this in video games much anymore. I don't even care if the game has shit storyline; if the atmosphere is absorbing, it becomes a gem in it's own right. And you gotta love Sketchup. What program did you use to render your model? And how did you apply the finer details and textures?

Wow, I love it! The art style is fantastic, like a mix of futuristic and old school architecture and full screen? Just pure eye-candy.
