Myself as Meiko from Vocaloid
as Sakine Meiko from fanmade Vocaloid.

This is not the best picture (we were dancing, so it was hard), there are better ones, but at least you get to see both costumes on this one! I made them both using red fake leather (I wasn't sure for Sakine Meiko, but I decided that it was best if she had the same material then her original character.)

Meiko was very simple to do, I used a short skirt and a shirt I already had as a base. I just had to be very careful with sizes, because of the material. It looked very sexy!

Sakine Meiko was something else. I used the same shirt base as Meiko, but I had to work out the collar, and a way to zip it completely without killing the person inside. And after that, the skirt. Cutting it was easy, but doing the balloon effect was near impossible with this material. And almost all the black parts on it, including the little frill, are also in leather. That was a killer job. Also the armwarmers, I didn't do them like gloves like the original version (I hate doing gloves), but I did the remotes, with PVC and... tape. Oh, and the red belt thing was made with satin, I used both faces for different textures, the same thing I did for Miku. And we (mostly Hoshihime) modified niiiice earphones a friend gave her.

I was supposed to do Sakine Meiko, but things happened and Hoshihime did her - lucky our sizes are the same!^^
