I've been rewatching the show on DVD. I love M*A*S*H.

I'm the opposite. xD I like Hogan's Heroes better than M*A*S*H. But they're both great shows. My favorite character from Hogan's is Newkirk. My fave from M*A*S*H is Radar hands down. He's so stinkin' adorable ohmyword. QnQ

Radar's my favorite too, he's very relatable, because when I was younger, I led a VERY sheltered and protected life, so I was always the "naive" one amongst my peers, and they would tease me about it (I swear, I even had that exact same moment where Radar wasn't sure how to answer the question of whether it was true he was a virgin).
As for Hogan, it's a toss-up between Kinch and Carter for me, I like how ground-breaking Kinch was as a character, though Carter almost seems like someone I'd end up being friends with, lol. I also give Baker a sympathy vote since a lot of people dislike him, but I think he made for a decent replacement for Kinch: you could tell in their performances that Ivan Dixon wasn't entirely comfortable being there, but that Kenneth Washington liked being a part of the cast.

SERIOUSLY. I'm so clueless when it comes to sexual lingo and whatever. Which is a good thing in my opinion. xD I'm still pretty naive I think. hfbvsgvf And what was the episode where Radar got shot, or got hurt or something? Q____Q zohmahgah I so cried in that one. TnT My second fave character would be Father Murphy. :3
Awww I love Kinch. He's great... I always thought it was amazing how he corrects Hogan, or thinks of something the others hadn't. That just wasn't around back then. (: lol
I've made some Hogan's Heroes stamps if you're interested- [link] (: As well as a few OLD Hogan's Heroes art. x'D [link]

Yes that was the episode! Oh, and if you do write a Hogan's Heroes fanfiction I'd want to read it! (:
And thank you so much for the watch. ^^ <3

Different wars too in different parts of the world with just over half a decade between the two. Nice Mashup though, pun sort of intended.

Hey, he WAS in WWII, so this scenario is technically possible. Tuttle4077 seems to think so.
And now that Harry Morgan has passed on, it's even more important that she finish that fic.

It's on FFN. It's called "I Charge Extra for Stalag Calls." It's currently in progress. Carter is injured on a mission and needs emergency surgery. So Hogan & co. smuggle in a recently-captured American surgeon--Lt. Col. Sherman T. Potter--to perform the surgery. Now Carter is suffering post-operative infection (which Potter predicted he would, given that he had to be kept in the tunnels), and Hogan and Olsen are trying to smuggle some penicillin back to Stalag 13.

Ah, okay, thanks for letting me know, I'll make note to check it out sometime.
I haven't written any fics myself in a long time, though I have had crossover ideas in my mind, like Carter being in te Korean War as a bomb disposer, recuperating at the 4077th, seeing the antics of staff, bringing back memories of the old days of WW2 with his fellow saboteurs.

lolololol
MASH is classic. So is Hogan's. I don't see why you shouldn't like them both.
Hogan's is funnier and more light-hearted IMHO; MASH is more dramatic and deep.

I was introduced to M*A*S*H first, and was instantly hooked; I saw Hogan later, but it took a while for it to grow on me, I found it too silly and fluffy compared to M*A*S*H, especially considering the setting is a war.

It was like the first three seasons of M*A*S*H, if not even more slapstick, silly, goofy, etc. It was set during WW2, about a group of POWs who actuually had a Resistence operation from inside their own barracks, and basically made the Nazis look like lovable buffooons.
