I think I've said in a comment before that you're someone whose art process I can't really imagine, since I just don't understand how you end up with the detailed and rather creative things you make. So I'm rather happy to see your sketches. It makes it easier to understand what kind of effort and thinking went into the final product. :]

That's really interesting to hear actually, I've never thought specifically about that with my work before. People often look at a drawing and think "yeah, that probably took you a few hours" - but they don't realise that usually it's the culmination of a long process of exploration. I know I definitely feel the same way about some artworks I see in regards to the process, especially where there is a huge variation in lighting across a foreground, middleground and background (like the old Romantic paintings). I just think "how the hell did they fit all these separate components together and make it look like one fluid scene", and then I realise that it probably took many sketches, and then more complete drawings, and then several coatings of paint, maybe some repainting - additions and changes - and then a process of unification of all the elements through something like lighting or focus... but even understanding all that, I'm still in awe. I wish I could do it, haha.
