I like the differing views of Simba and Shani. The way they talk about them makes me think a lot of a brother and sister who have grown up and can address their views without getting into a full-blown screamout match.
Maaaaan, I love this comic! When I watched TLK II I thought a lot of the Pridelander scenes were cheesy, but the comic is cool. It's deep, and isn't afraid to be dark.
"You can't protect her from the world, Simba." Destined to be one of my favorite lines in the entire comic.

no. the lion king is NOT based on a book. but there is a series of six little books called, "the lion king: six new adventures" that are based on lion king. they are hard to find, but if you keep looking, i am sure they will turn up somewhere.

no. her eyes were red if you look closely. since the person who did her voice died they got someone else to do it. it was pretty accurate if u ask me.
