Darkseid, the tyrant of Apokolips, has finally returned to Earth after his previous defeat millions of years ago . The Justice Avengers and the rest of the Earth heroes managed to defeat or repel the Paradooms and the rest of Darkseid's forces... Until the appearance of Darkseid.

The Justice Avengers launched themselves against Darkseid, beginning a long and hard battle against him, however, even outnumbering the tyrant, the Justice Avengers began to be defeated, many of them being almost killed by Darkseid. When Captain America, the "last" standing, fell, Darkseid thought it was over, but was mistaken when he was hit in the back with an energy blast from a badly wounded Captain Marvel.

Fed up with Mar-Vell's perseverance, Darkseid decided to end the "battle" against the Kree using his Omega Beams, which collided with an Energy Blast launched by Mar-Vell that had all his power. Initially they seemed to be evenly matched, but the cruel reality was that Darkseid was only giving false hope to the Kree. Darkseid increased the power of his Omega Beams a little more, which overcame Mar-Vell's attack, impacting these lethal beams directly at the Kree...
