The character is May from Guilty Gear
Before drawing I had no Idea about this game, but after looking up May and her backstory It really intrigued me.
I have played a couple of fighting games in my time and well the art style of Guilty Gear was really gorgeous!
While researching I also saw many versions of May from the early days and the most recent revamp in her outfit!

Before the update she had a more obvious young pirate design with the bright orange hat and long ponytail.
I have to admit I really love her weapon choice, I thought it really suited her character as she did grow up in a pirate ship full of pirates, it
really gave her a pirate girl aesthetic and in my own words gave her an iconic look.

Her backstory was really cute, she was an orphan and started liking her adoptive parent so much that she did her best to get him to notice her.
[ i forgot her adoptive fathers name ;-; ]

I personally like the most recent design as it is very simple ang gets her character more distinct. It show her youthfulness and her affiliation.

Overall I really enjoyed drawing this character and I thank you TheTubich for requesting this adorable character for your prize!
