Description I know this is not gonna appeal to most of you (funnily enough, the surreal categories don't seem to be that attractive to most here on dA ) but I like it. I spent a lot of time on it and love how it come out. Love to hear your feedback!

Thank you very much.

I agree fantasy and emotional is very popular on dA. That's probably because most members are very young, plus fantasy is very popular at the moment anyway due to GOT .

One objection, the shadow on the apple's are not good (compared with shadows on the model),
also you could draw one of the clocks in perspective...
I hope that you will use this as an honest advice and not just criticism, all the best!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

simoneheld In reply to MrMicanovic [2011-04-02 14:40:32 +0000 UTC]

this makes me think there's nothing good about this piece as you don't find any positive word about it ...

what do you mean by 'clock in perspective'?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MrMicanovic In reply to simoneheld [2011-04-02 18:13:46 +0000 UTC]

I see that you have enough of the praise so I thought that I can skip that part and go right on what I observed as a flaw.
For clock, I mean draw it for right or the left side, so that they dont look same or copied.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

simoneheld In reply to MrMicanovic [2011-04-03 07:10:03 +0000 UTC]

quite honestly this is the most thoughtless thing I've heard in a while: as a fellow artist you should know that you can never get enough praise and only picking out possible flaws and pointing your finger at them won't get you any positive reaction! If you don't have anything nice to say or don't like the artwork, then don't say anything at all!
I don't know if that was supposed to be funny but it wasn't.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MrMicanovic In reply to simoneheld [2011-04-03 16:23:41 +0000 UTC]

Dude, lol, u blind?
"I hope that you will use this as an honest advice and not just criticism, all the best!"
Again, wish u best, u will need it with that attitude.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

simoneheld In reply to MrMicanovic [2011-04-04 07:09:18 +0000 UTC]

two things: please don't call me dude! You don't know me.

second, I didn't mind your piece of advice at all but your second comment "I see that you have enough of the praise so I thought that I can skip that part and go right on what I observed as a flaw." was what really annoyed me. How can an amateur artist who needs praise and respect to continue working ever have enough of it?! If you like it and find some possible flaw, then TELL the artist that you like the piece AND then hint to possible flaws. if you DON'T like artwork and just find flaws, don't say anything UNLESS the artist is explicitly asking for it.
This is not the correct attitude to comment here!

The lighting on the apples doesn't match with the lighting of the model - this gives them the impression that they're floating (because the light hits the apples from behind). Hope you don't mind my pointing that out.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

simoneheld In reply to micronomicon [2011-03-30 07:11:17 +0000 UTC]

this is the apple's original lighting. It's very hard to get rid of that without ruining the overall apple . But thank you.

mrhass [2011-03-28 22:06:45 +0000 UTC]

Love the idea behind this, as well as the execution...now i might suggest a few things if thats ok? i feel the apples are a bit stuck on, meaning the shadows dont fall quite right with the shadows of the figure. the reflections are nice but stand out a bit harsh i think, but i think if they were darker it might be harder to get a feel for them(kinda hard to say either way) and second would be darkening the spot where the figure hits the floor. she fits well in the overall picture but feels slightly put on top of the floor?(if that makes sense) other than that its stunning non-the-less! great work

simoneheld In reply to mrhass [2011-03-29 07:13:18 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for your comment but quite frankly, I don't really understand what you mean. Do you mean the shadows aren't well done or off?

One of the best video games ever made, which is especially remarkable since it's a budget title on Xbox 360. If you have a 360 and like to have fun (and live anywhere but Australia), you owe it to yourself to buy the game.
