Such a heavy loss. It's interesting how the octopus resembles a human skull, with the nasal cavity exposed by decay.

This is an incredible painting. It drips with emotion and beautifully tragic imagery. The octopus has such a haunting face and sorrowful beauty. I really like the crow as well and I like how it holds one of the octopus' eyes in its beak. It sends a message without being overly blatant which makes it all the more powerful. I really like the colours you gave this piece as well. Wonderful job.

DDDD= Not the octopus!! Dead birds (still sad) and dead fish I can handle but not the octopi!!! ;A; <-- For the record, this isn't saying that if only birds and fish were dead then the oil spill wouldn't be bad, it's terrible what's happened and I worry about the after effects on the ecosystem especially since the wetlands were effected too. This comment is just about my love for octopi.
Beautiful picture, it's very poignant and I love the details and the texture of the tentacles.
