Description
My entry in a tee design contest for the 2012 Railroad Revival Tour. I tried to capture the energy of live music and combine it with a phoenix-like reimagining of the heroic depictions of trains from the middle of last century.The artwork was initially drawn in Alchemy using my trusty Wacom, then further work carried out in Illustrator before finally dragging it into Photoshop for some colour treatment.

Listening to a little jazz on the radio while looking at this, and the piano I hear is playing off the visual of all those music notes clattering about in motion with the train... how lovely :3
