At night, Alan was all alone at an arcade trying to boil his anger out getting as many high scores as he could. He had the best opportunity right at his hands to get a journalist job, and he was rejected as hard as anyone could be. Now, with no determined future, he had begun to question why he had even wanted to take part of journalism in the first place, or even study it. In another outburst that he couldn't control, he slammed his fists on a crane machine. However, with this particular burst, he somehow managed to break all of the glass, and even set the crane on fire. Stopping right in his tracks, he tried to clean it up, worrying about being caught. However, he felt like he couldn't move as something out of the ordinary was happening to his body; it was being granted a mutation, and with this mutation came a permanent change in his DNA and body structure. First, his decent was rewritten entirely, and instead of being Caucasian, his roots were now set in stone in Chinese decent. This all felt strange to him, and he felt as if his entire body was on fire as he shrank a full foot down from 6'5" to 5'5", with each inch making him lose perspective. To his now effeminate hands, he felt a great fire burning throughout as he gained powers of energy blasts and additional psionic powers. Meanwhile, up on his head, Alan felt a partial weight being removed as his shoulder-length black hair was pushed back into his head, until it had the length of a pixie cut, with his strands being spiked partially into the air. Due to who he was becoming, he regressed half a decade down to the age of 17. As his muscular frame thinned out and got thinner, becoming more feminine in the process, he... now she felt the burning sensations being applied to her face. Her now almond-shaped eyes changed color from hazel to black and her nose shrank to a button-shape, and even her cheeks got fuller. Alan was on the floor at this point, desperate to let any painful feelings out of her system, which was slowly ending with the growth of two A sized orbs and her voice being raised multiple octaves. With her powers now fully infused into her, she let out another burst of energy, finally free from her painful changes, which also ruined a couple other arcade machines, and with this she passed out. When she woke up, she found herself in a room that she had never been in before, later revealed to her as "Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters". Now that she was a mutant, she was taken in to help control her new powers and soon enough, work her way into being part of the X-Men. Alan had no words, haven only been like this form for a few hours now. Eventually, with time, she learned to embrace her new form and the new opportunities that she was being given as a result of her new abilities. Three months later, she had adopted the name Jubilation Lee, which could be shortened to Jubilee.
