Thanks for th kind words i appreciate it. And you and i are already in equal footing in doing wallies. Your wallie compositions have even better potential than mine. The only diffrenced is that im too inspired in Negima that I want it to be nice when i use it as wallies. (hopefully i can get my colourings more consistent though)
Have a nice day cheers!

BTW.. how'd you do the background?

simplicitybc2000 In reply to shaoron [2006-06-19 15:35:40 +0000 UTC]
No worries. first pick any flat colour for ur first layer. Then 2nd layer pick the mable leaves brush (soft) 50% opacity, 20% flow and click airbrush. The just glide trhu where you want the clouds to be and to add more volume just go over it for a few times. Then eraser, setting soft 100% opacity flow 30% and air brush click then use it to sculpt the shape and to remove the shard edges of the leaves. and tada u have a cloud bg.
Its the same thing i did with my previous projects best example would be the "Setsuna and Konoka" but use various brush and duplicating it.
As for the tree and the cherry petals. Open new document get the pentool do a petal shape then fill it black then go to edit "brush presets" then define brush shape from there you'll have a new brush then is just fiddle with brush properties options like scatter and change of hue thats how i get the inconsistent scattered effect of the petals.
The tree is just a chalk brush pick pink then change the setting of the brush from "normal" to multiply then just click or keep taping over it repeatedly till u get a shape (oh also u have to increase the brush size to get the shape). The just use the eraser to finalize it.
Im pretty sure that there's proper way of doing it. This is more like my experementing with PS and adding elements that i have seen in most tutorials.
