Description
Was getting frustrated with concept work of one character, so I decided to get this one out of the way. That sounded harsh. No shade, Jules, no shade.But is that really the same Julian? Look at him. He's...not... frowning.

I know what you mean. It like writing a story or script. You can pay someone to do it for you but it's not really yours until you start writing it. Or these come up with the basic premise.

If he knew the inner workings of a laser gun, then he could make a laser gun but it wouldn't have ammo. He could totally make a slingshot, but again he'd need ammo. This is why he sticks to simple melee weapons. He knows their general shape and they don't need ammo

I find the fact that the gem can be used to form a weapon to be pretty cool

I really appreciate that you do, man! Julian controls fire but also has this gem. For the entirety of arc 1 (age 12) uses the shard for combat, primarily. In arc 2 (age 17-18), he uses the shard and one day Phonalia appears out of it. After that point, he doesn't use the shard for combat because having Phonalia there is waaaaaaay more effective. So he just sticks to martial arts and his fire abilities.
Oh! The gems that you see are called shards because they're broken off from the giant shard in the core of the earth. Just bit of lore for ya
