ok, so make two new layers over your lineart layer and set the first layer mode to shade. ( set it to lumi and shade it you want it to have a kind of glowing effect.)
use the acrylic brush and choose a color. start making strokes where you want the shading. lower the later opacity to about 50 or lower.
Since the stroke lines are really obvious, take the base color under the shading (like the fur color or something), and start doing what you do with the brush tool to somewhat blend it, but with the acrylic tool.
the lines will still be somewhat obvious, so take the base color again and go to the layer you made over the shading. use a brush on low density, (or use a pen on high density then lower the layer opacity), and color the base color along the edges of the shading so it will fade out more. You don't have to do this, it's optional.
You can also use the blend tool on the shading tool to get the same fade effect.
