Yup, she was my reference photo to help me draw accurately, but her features were a bit changed (:

you're welcome~! I have a quick question, how do you do details on hair? I am horrible with hair details and I was wondering if you could give me a few tips since you are very good with that type of thing...^^

Alright, get ready for the long explanation (:
So first I color in the whole chunk of hair with a dark color(unless the hair is super light blond or something), not worrying about the details. I like working from dark to light on the hair because I think it's easier.
I use a rather thick brush to begin painting in the light strands of hair. If you look carefully, I have thick and thin strands of hair (variety makes it look more realistic). So I draw in a lot of thick strands first, and then blend it a little. I use a brush that's a little bit thinner to draw more strands, and then blend. I keep doing this process with thinner and thinner brushes (which takes waaay too long XD)
I usually fiddle with the brightness/contrast at the end, because more contrast makes the hair look more realistic. Finally, as a finishing touch, I draw in thin fly away strands of hair, especially around the edges of the hair so it looks more natural.
I have two tutorials in my gallery for portraits--I don't know, maybe they'll help? But basically, you need lots and lots of patience. The hair portion of this portrait I think took me 3 hours.

Wow...that seems like a lot of work! Great job and I totally understand this! Thank you so much for telling me...this is really going to help me in the future~! Thank you and 3 hours? Wow. But it must have been worth it because of the feedback and comments and the fun you had drawing it~! Thanks again~! It's such a big help~! ^^ I will be sure to use these tips!
