My first attempt at drawing Italy (from APH duh) as a merman, and I am actually quite proud of this. It turned out much better that I thought it would.I was listening to Poor Unfortunate Souls from The Little Mermaid when I decided to draw this. I wanted to draw a scene from the song but it turned into this.
Two things in the pic bother me to no end. His arms and his head. UGH! I just can't draw faces and hair in general, and I was afraid to do anything to the arms and not be able to fix it later. So yea, now he has stick arms and a big head (at least in my opinion)

You did excellent with the shape of the tail! The form and lenght is just right to look at :3
I think your strokes are lacking smoothness... you know, practicing by drawing carelessly helps. Some people skecth a bit their ideas and then define the final drawing over them with longer and darker strokes. (I don't know if I explained myself right, but I think that works very well!)
Oh, and I couldn't help to notice you don't like his arms and face. I think his face is just right 
As I said before. you got the tail just right! I liked this merman <3 <3 Keep practicing! (can I see Germany now? hjsdgfjs)

I know about the lacking smoothness thing, after I do a light then want to darken it up so the camera can see it, I'm always freaking out about messing it up so I try to slow down but then my hand starts shaking! So I'm afraid to speed up and when I slow down my had starts shaking like I'm having a seizure -_-'
I will start working on trying to add elbows (that was a weird thing to type, like I was god or something and I'm like "what am I forgetting in my creation *hits forehead* oh right elbows!") and chins.
I will also start working on Germany, I might either do a sister picture to this one or just add him to this pic. . . we may never know.

I do think about making them comics but them I'm like "can I really do it?" so I fight with myself.
