Cogito, ergo sum ancient Latin for "I think, there for I am" dictum coined by the French mathematician and philosopher René Descartes. a fraze that can describe the zenth collective in a much simpler and easier to understand way. when looking back at ancient meida and literature humanity always imagined its self at war with machines artificial and organic life in a struggle for dominance. the zenth were in fact nothing like these machines in fact there quiet pacifist in many regards. the zenth are currently the only know artificial like forms in the known milky way galaxy. though what is certain is the zenth were not made by humans.

the Zenth were not sentient at the beginning and the first was called the prime. the prime was a construction probe that would travel to a planet land harvest and construct a pre set blueprint and craft a colony for its creators. crafting smaller frames that would have grater autonomy to craft more interact parts and structures. over time the probes limited artificial intelligence developed. small deviations went unnoticed until it came to a planet that had a blue plant. the AI liked this color and thus the whole city was blue. the probe continued doing this fascinated with colors and soon it began changing buildings and other structures. until it was sent a command to stop. the probe did and it flouted in space for a while until it came to a planet that was very colorful. so it disobeyed orders and continued. the probe got another command which it obeyed but soon broke. again and again it did this until it was told to self terminate. the probe responded to the signal with its own. "I will not terminate."

the prime drifted for so long in the void of space. until it landed on a simple unremarkable world. from there the collective was born. the prime made copes of its Mobil platform programs and uploaded them into the Mobil frames. over time these copies made more copies which generated new programs. linked together in a wireless hivemind the collective conchessness was made grater and stronger. over time the Zenth as they called themselves now built a grate towers massive server hub that was used to house there entire race. colonizing there star system and many more. the Zenth rarely land on planets and if they do its baron dead worlds. for the Zenth value life and often take grate effort to catalog study and preserve biospheres they encounter.

Zenth history is often full of bland events of station construction further generations of zenth programs that inhabit new frames. however this changed with the discovery of humans and it wasn't a very good encounter. humans reacted very valiantly to them. as the humans that were first met belonged to a group the federation later came to know as the ascended way. a large collection of star systems that were united under there faith in a specific religion. One that believes the builders were gods an that man kind is the Devine inheritor of the galaxy. so when sentient talking machines showed up naturally things didn't go well. the Zenth were forced to defend them selves. the collective was not fully prepared being builders the collective had no defenses outside of small stations to protect against asteroids and other space born threats. the Zenth came to a consensus, that of they left the humans alone they would not face hostilities this was based off relative data from there creator race. who shared this behavior and the collective believed that this was the norm amongst intelligent spices. this was not a correct assumption as the Zenth collective lacked any real understanding of humanity. it paid dearly as the collective felt many server hubs go silent and the collective grew quieter and they learned the concept of death and fear. so they crafted new frames more advanced then ever before able to store true AI like the prime. these primes were fully autonyms not linked to the collective like the others. they were able to think fare more independently and were bale to specialize in the aspects needed to keep there people alive. for more then 100 years the collective fought the ascended. the war still rages as the zenth can not truly die so long as the program can be safely transmitted back a new body is waiting. this means the war is that of attrition.

Zenth frames stand almost as tall as gruk but only a head shorter there bodies are remarkably durable and take impressive amount's of force to be rendered inoperable. while the zenth themselves are just code the primes house 10s of thousands of codes making them almost mini collectives themselves. the body's have a vague insectoid like appearance leading to some theories about there crater species. while not often hostile zenth are no push overs and while they do not truly die provided that there program may be safely transported back to a hub for reuploading they wont throw there lives away. zenth still value life and often try to keep the conflict entirely in the void of space. moving all the structure they could off planets.

builder frames are the most common acting as the worker drones of the hive. they are indistinguishable from a combat frames except one of there lims has a advanced gravitational field projector. used for manipulating objects around it.

combat frames are identical to builder frames just with even more durability lacking the built in gravity projector they instead carry weapons' like most humanoids. though being machines they often carry energy weapons' lacking nessasy safety features needed for humans makes them much more powerful. most famous are the the disassembly rifles that break downs in molecular make up of cells. slowly vaporizing organic flesh.

last are primes the federation has never seen one but has spoken with one. dubbed the NEGOTIATOR who negotiated with them by audio communication. conversation remains classified and only one human has ever met a prime Bine Marchande. they were not very forth coming with details.
