There's a lot of moments that stand out in the game, but of all the decisions, this one hit the hardest.One of the things I liked about Virmire was that it was sunny and idyllic, which was a stark contrast to the dim, enclosed spaces of most of the game. It was a great counterpoint to the weight of what happened there.

i know how you feel i tore me apart when i had to choose between to of my team mates. very nice planet though i'd live there if it wasnt for the pirates and such and my ship broke so im stuck on Noveria lol

That was actually part of the motivation for doing this. One of my criticisms of the game is that the characters go through some really harsh things, but they don't really seem to feel it.
I'm not a gore nut... but a bit more grit would have helped with the antiseptic feel of the universe.

i agree. the only blood i saw was from a krogen, a geth and the guy on noveria that gets impailed by the rachni ... and also that insane scientist i shot on that other planet i carnt remember the name of.

Whoa. I think this is one of your best pieces; it's absolutely stunning. It's so detailed and colourful, and the contrast between colours works wonderfully; the sombre grey hues, the blue sky and deep rusty orange of the bomb all stand out yet complement each other. I love the amount of texture you've created such as the rust on the pillar, it lends to the realism. Excellent job on the perspective and shadow, too.
Possibly the gun is the only subject which looks a bit strange, as it has a soft, fluid appearance. Anyway, this picture is near-perfect. Really well-executed. Good luck with the contest.

I agree, the gun is weak, and unfortunately it's in the middle of the image. I should tidy it up a bit.
