11" x 17" @ 450 DPI.Recipe For A Sweet Cover
Ingredients:
1 Hot property-Green Lantern
1 Insane story line-Blackest Night
and a landmark issue-Green Lantern #50
Add a superb Artist-Jim Lee *jimlee00 , Best inker in the biz-Scott Williams *INKIST and stir in some color (ahem).
Render for about 3 hours and sprinkle in a handful of special Effects.
Let sit for 15 minutes and review. Render and/or add more effects to taste. Trap and send off to editor.

Hey Alex I have been a big fan of your work you are one of the reasons I kept up with comics you also inspired me to begin coloring I'm still a noob I picked up some Brian haberlin tutorials at comic con I was wondering if you had any pointers as a beginner ? Do I need to be good at drawing too bc I am not that good? Any beginner tips would be greatly appreciated thanks

Really! That must be awesome. I have always been a GL fan but I never got into comics. I went through the baseball and football card phase instead. I haven't read Blackest Night. I would like to but I don't have the money to buy all the comics. But I have tried to keep up with the many new characters introduced in Blackest Night.
I like the Blue Lanterns so much I had one of my OCs turned into one. I think the artist did a great job. What do you think?

Coloring a piece like this is no small feat, sir. This title is currently demanding the use of the entire spectrum, LITERALLY, and still making a cohesive image that reads well.

If Ivan Reis is the hardest working penciller in comics, you have got to be the hardest working colorist. And for my money the best. I feel like you are one of the only colorists who always gets the Indigo and Violet colors right. I saw Reis is working some on Brightest Day after this. Are you involved at all?
