Description With all the stories on the oil leak in the Gulf, it got stuck in my head that an explosion at a solar company would be funny. Joke's on them though. They're all totally going to get skin cancer now. I would likely buy power from a company named "Mr. Dazzle", if only so I could write checks to them.
Does this count as a political cartoon? I may need to stick a weeping Statue of Liberty in there.

If anything as social satire.

I think the fine line between the two is when you begin demonizing whatever you might wanna criticize.

Well as a pro alternative fuel comic it actually works. Ever consider submitting this to a paper?

I just figured that somehow you would TG somebody with this. That would be a funny one. Though a preface would probably be necessary.

Assuming that green-haired ecoterrorist isn't behind this, Captain Planet must be feeling conflicted right now.

Ironically, New Mexico, with its abundant sunshine is working on solar energy farms, so Sins' not *too* far off the mark!

We happen to have Ohio's only wind farm near where I live, and our electricity's from a municipal co-operative, so out costs are way lower than the surrounding areas!

Mr. Dazzle is pretty cool (and I feel the same as you in this regard), but I think "Greyskull Power Company" would be a bit cooler

I think this whole sun thing is just too dangerous. I mean, it's constantly shooting us with radiation! And people think it's safe? I think it's obvious that we need to move to hybrid solar energy. *nods head*

*comes up with a nifty idea for a cartoon/game setting* Mr. Dazzle Solar Power Company spinning propoganda saying that their efforts at keeping the sky dark are actually saving the world... Governments allow them to pretty much take over... Then one day a leak allows a small group to see that sunlight is acutally a good thing... Cue the revolution. Maybe throw in some magic or magitech granted by solar energy, if I'm in the mood for a fanasy setting...

Wait, this is starting to sound too familiar. Better avoid spikey hair and ludicrously huge swords at all costs.

yes. let's use guns instead. ludicrously large guns.

BFGs? This is a plan I can get behind.

Strikes me that this has all the right elements of a Cyberpunk setting or awesome and win. Or Cybersorcerypunk... Win.

RPG with giant guns? yeah, I'll want to make that. And possibly swords that are reasonable sized and feasible...

otherwise those fantasy die-hards won't even look.
