I had promised a bit ago i was going to do adopts and customs but since I got no orders. I figured people were sick of the bases. So xDDD I GOT SUPER DEPRESSED and just wanted to see if I could crank out one design after work. TO SEE if I could make money just working without the base (it still took 5 hours) I was going to sell it for more but I enjoyed drawing her SO much that I couldn't bare to part with her. She doesn't have a name quite yet. But she is based on the Phoenix guardian of the south often represented in Asian cultures. She turned out less phoenix than I had intended so her twin will probably be like that.For more info on them you guys can check my journals and front page.

i found this through griff's drawing but regardless i figured to come commends on such an interesting creature. it seems more than just an asian phoenix went into the design and it may just be me but i see what seems to remind me of a koi fish in some attributes.basically i think this would make a more aquatic / flying creature if anything. its a gorgeous and colourful character. (:

you know my best suggestion is pick something personal to you. Something you know about that has a meaningful connection or you have been inspired by. Again its any "where" place, event, direction, planet, building, personification of a place (like a god or dragon), star allllll sorts of shit.

Ah, what pretty colors! I never like designs with this many colors, but wow, you really pulled this off like a boss. I think you might have changed my mind about colorful designs. I would have bid on this for sure if you hadn't decided to keep her. ;u;

The mistake people often make is they do not repeat colors enough in the design, or they don't pick a main color compliment. Cause really all she is is red, green, and blue. xD i USED to feel the same way honestly. I am so glad you like her and think I did a good job!
