It's a fictional aircraft that I designed myself.
It has a fuesalage that resembles that of an F-86 "Sabre"
The engines of an F-14 "Tomcat". One of the engines is located in the same position as that of an F-86, the 2 other engines are located in the same positions as those of an F-14, next to the cockpit, under the wings. The engines under the wings are very short, they don't run the length of the aircraft like those of an F-14, but they work. ...So 3 engines total.
This aircraft has Delta wings. It is a jet.
3 Air intakes. (One for each engine, of course)
1 seater.
Manufacturer: AMAC (Australian Modern Aircraft Company)
Also fictional.
Backround:
The 25ft long "StarFire" F-1A could be put into service by the RAAF in the year 2018.
This aircraft is equipped with 6 Air to Air missiles and 2 Air to Ship/ground missiles.
However, this plane in no way relys in missiles alone.
It is also armed with 4 .50 cal. machine guns and 2 chainguns that are similar to the type the A-10 used in its campaign.
What makes this plane unique is where the chainguns are placed.
They are placed directly in front of the engines' air intakes. Now, on any other aircraft, placing chainguns in front of the engines is an extreamly stupid thing to do because the discharged empty shells would travel into the engines and damage them. Well, the discharged shells of this aircraft are made of a special combustable material that the engines can burn, giving the aircraft a slightly longer flight time when engaged in combat. Another good thing about these shells is they don't burn up when the bullets are fired from them, only when they end up in the engine.
This aircraft is rather stubby and heavy compared to most other fighters, but a combination of large flaps, movable tail wings, and powerfull engines give this aircraft superb manuverability.
This aircraft only has a meduim amount of armour, mostly because the 2 main things this plane has are fuel and ammo.
It wouldn't get off the ground if too much armour was placed on it.
Total flight time: 2 hours at crusing speed. 45 minutes at full afterburner.
Total speed: 900mph.
Due to the immense cost this aircraft would have, only 20 or so of them would be produced practically.

"at full afterburner"
I'm afraid it wouldn't be able to have any afterburner with Tomcat engines the size of an F-86. Afterburner can double the length of an engine.

Well that seems to be good.
How much USD will it cost ?
ammo and fuel capasity `?

PlanetaryFox In reply to SindreAHN [2006-08-16 21:31:51 +0000 UTC]
Ammo: 2,000 rounds of 50 cal. rounds per gun. 8,000 rounds total.
5,000 rounds per chaingun. 10,000 rounds total
Total ammo capacity: 18,000 rounds.
Fuel capacity: At the risk of making this aircraft not practical, I cannot give an estimate as to the amount of fuel this aircraft can hold.
